- College in High School Program
IMPLEMENTATION GUIDELINES
GENERAL PROCESS TO FOLLOW TO INITIATE FIRST TIME COURSE OFFERING:
- High School personnel (administrator, guidance counselor, teacher) contacts SUNY College in High School Office or department chair expressing interest in CIHS course
- Distribute CIHS Information Packet to prospective teacher/school – check web site
- Discuss student interests/needs. Review list of courses available to high schools from SUNY Cobleskill.
- CIHS representative and/or HS personnel contacts respective SUNY Department Chair
- Both parties identify interested course(s), discuss course outline, textbooks and/or resources, outcomes, Annual CIHS Academic Calendar, etc.
- Parties conduct a curriculum mapping of course for quality assurance.
- Discuss formal process to approve faculty instructor
- CIHS instructor is approved as an adjunct professor for the semester (or full year).
- Complete Partnership Agreement between College and HS.
FORMS: Partnership Agreement , Application for Admission, Registration Form
- HS instructor and College Department representative meet for orientation, training, collaboration and support prior to beginning of instruction (i.e. August)
- HS students register at the HS for the course(s) by 2nd week of school (complete CIHS Application for Admission and Registration Form)

- HS collects tuition fees for each student and forwards a school check to SUNY
- HS notifies SUNY of any student needing financial assistance
- Representative from CIHS Program visits HS prior to final enrollment if requested
