    Communications A.S.

Associate in Science Degree
(Application Curriculum Code - 1173)

The program seeks to develop production skills (TV, video, graphic design, news writing), to prepare students for communications on the job (from technical to interpersonal), and to develop a critical and ethical awareness of professional communications. The A.S. program also endeavors to thoroughly incorporate technology into the program, with the understanding that technology supports the process of communication and shouldn't be an end in and of itself.

This course of study will also prepare students for transfer into four-year programs in mass media, journalism, broadcasting, public relations, technical publications and a number of related programs.
