Graphic Design Technology (B.S.)

Graphic Design Class

Overview

The Graphic Design Technology program prepares students for employment in the fast-paced and ever-changing design industry, meeting the needs of our students for a graphic design career education by offering a curriculum that integrates theory and technical skills with the liberal arts program. The program follows an interdisciplinary approach in which students take courses in the arts, humanities and social sciences, as well as courses in computer technology. SUNY Cobleskill recognizes the increasing importance of computer skills in the professional field, and views the computer as a design tool, one which can only be used to its full potential with a strong foundation in art and design. The program focuses on creative thinking and an understanding of the principles of design rather than simply the technical manipulation of computer software.
