Get ready for your first semester at SUNY Cobleskill!


This website will offer a step-by-step guide to help you prepare for classes this fall. In the months leading up to your first semester, you will receive information from a variety of on-campus offices, so be sure to check your mailbox regularly.

Register for an Accepted Student Day

This event will showcase the SUNY Cobleskill campus, provide valuable information about the College community, and allow you to register for classes.


Log into Banner Web

Log onto Banner Web with your Banner ID (800#) and PIN. (If you have difficulties logging in, please call the Admissions Office at 518-255-5525)

Once you have logged in complete the following steps:
1. Pay your tuition and room deposit
2. View your financial aid award (Beginning in March)
3. Complete the Student Code of Conduct affirmation.

Set up your Cobleskill email account

Activate your SUNY Cobleskill email account. You must activate your email account before completing the subsequent steps.

Register for housing

You must activate your SUNY Cobleskill email account BEFORE registering for housing.
Residential Life housing information is mailed to students who plan to live on campus and have paid the advanced housing deposit. Students must login with their Cobleskill email and complete the online housing survey by June 1 for best consideration of their preferences. The housing survey will be available in March.

Apply for Financial Aid

Apply for financial aid. Financial Award letters will start being mailed the first week in March.

Submit your Immunization Records

Submit immunization records to the Wellness Center beginning in March.

Choose your Meal Plan and Accept CobyCard Terms and Conditions

Choose your Meal Plan, read and accept terms and conditions, and submit the contract via email cobycard@cobleskill.eduor fax 518-255-5154.

Join the Facebook Group

Join the Fall 2016 incoming Freshman Group and start getting to know your classmates!


Athletes, be sure to fill out an Athletic Recruitment Form so that the Department of Sport and Exercise knows you’re interested in playing a sport.

Begin checking out meal plan options.

Begin searching for jobs posted exclusively for SUNY Cobleskill students.

Check out the First Year Experience Program webpage for valuable first year student resources and information about the Foundation for College Success (FFCS 101) course.


Send the Admissions Office your:
1. Final High School Transcript
2. Advanced Placement Score Reports
3. Any other documents that indicate credits you have earned.
* When in doubt, contact admissions to see if any items are needed.

Begin searching for jobs posted exclusively for SUNY Cobleskill students.

If applicable, document your disability with the AccessABILITY office. and learn how to register for accommodations.

If needed, start a monthly payment plan for your student bill.

Order your textbooks through our Barnes & Noble campus bookstore.

Merits Program Students  Contact the Merits Program coordinator to ensure that everything is set for the fall semester.

Begin looking through the list of SUNY Cobleskill Clubs.


Check your residence hall assignment.
In July your hall assignment will be available as well as other important information about your roommate, including their name and phone number. You will also receive information about arrival to campus, residence hall check-in, and things you may want to bring for your room.

Purchase a parking pass and register your vehicle.

The first college bill will be sent from the Student Accounts Office to your SUNY Cobleskill email account.

Complete Web Check-in.
In order to prevent your schedule from being dropped for the upcoming semester, you MUST complete the banner web check in process. When viewing your schedule you may notice room assignments missing for classes being held in the new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources. This is a new building and room numbers will be posted to your schedule later this summer. Please be sure to double check your schedule on banner web before the start of the semester for updated room assignments.
