What is one of your favorite things about SUNY Cobleskill?

My favorite things about SUNY Cobleskill would have to be its size and location. Being in the Schoharie Valley of the Catskill Mountains is a really beautiful and peaceful place to be all year round. I also love the small town atmosphere and personal attention students receive here.

What advice you would give a prospective student about choosing a college?

The best piece of advice I give students when choosing a college is to visit the campus! You won’t know what you’re walking into until you see the campus yourself, in person. Live it and breathe it for a day. Get a chance to meet the faculty in the area you’re interested in studying. Do this with all of the schools you’re interested in and it will more than likely help in choosing which college is for you!

What is an interesting hobby or special talent you have?

In my spare time I love being at the barn with my equine companion, Buster Brown. We’ll go out on the trails or I’ll teach beginner lessons. I also travel and enjoy trying different restaurants, especially ones that have appeared on Food Network!

What program did you study at SUNY Cobleskill?

I graduated from SUNY Cobleskill in 2012 with a B.T. in Animal Science; Equine.

What did you like best about your college experience?

What I liked best about my college experience was that I was able to continue horseback riding. I brought my horse to campus with me and also competed on the Hunt Seat Team. I was afraid that I would have to give up riding because I was going to college, but this is where I made some of my favorite college memories!
