Agricultural Equipment Technology graduates have achieved excellent career placement and command significant salaries. Technology coursework, especially in the diagnostics of electrical and hydraulic systems, people management skills and communication skill development are emphasized. Students are well prepared to complete internships at agricultural or industrial types of businesses or at utility providers.
An internship is an ideal opportunity for matching the student with an industry. Real world experiences supplement and enhance the student’s ability to provide a technology background to a career opportunity, often at a middle management level. The student develops an individual program of study with his/her advisor and is encouraged to take business courses to prepare for managerial positions in the agricultural equipment field.
Degree Requirements
To fulfill the requirements for the Bachelor of Technology degree in Agricultural Equipment Technology, the candidate in the field of Agricultural Equipment Technology must complete a minimum of 48 credit hours of major field requirements, 20 credit hours of general electives, 26 credit hours of technical electives, and 36 credit hours of liberal arts and science courses
