Why did you choose SUNY Cobleskill?

I chose SUNY Cobleskill because of their Applied Psychology program, and because it is a very different environment than where I'm from, and I get to be away from home in the city!

What is your major and class year?

Applied Psychology and I'm a Junior.

What clubs or organizations are you involved in?

I'm a peer educator, on the cheer squad and  I'm on the substance committee that helps the campus with issues related to substance use and abuse education. My involvement helped me get to know myself and to be more outgoing.

What is the best meal you've had on campus and where is your favorite place to eat?

Prentice Cafe (Prentice is my middle name)! My favorite meal is a burrito with grilled chicken, white rice, refried beans, beef and cheddar and mozzarella cheese and salsa!

Why do you like living on campus?

Living on campus gives me more advantages and access to resources, the library, my professor's offices, my peers and coworkers are all right there. It also gives you the independence of being away from home but like a "trial run" of being on your own.

What is your floor like and what types of amenities does your building offer?

I live in Alumni Commons and I like that it feels like an apartment. We get our own bathrooms! We have a kitchen so we get to cook, we have more privacy, and we have the living room to hangout and do work, it feels like a family.

Why do you like your RA?

My RA is always there and available. He's really down to earth, fair and easy going and comfortable to talk to, he's really easy to get along with.

Anything else you'd like to tell people about SUNY Cobleskill?

Here you get treated like family. If you have any issues or problems, people are here for you to ask for help. You are never alone, if you get involved on campus it doesn't even feel like you're at school!
