Why did you choose SUNY Cobleskill?

I saw the campus on a culinary school website and saw that it was close to home, but far away at the same time. I liked that it was an agricultural school because it expanded my viewpoint and I get to see both sides of my field (culinary arts).  


What is your major and class year? 

Culinary Arts B.S. and I received my A.A.S. in Culinary Arts in 2016. I'm a Junior.


What clubs or organizations are you involved in? 

I'm a Night Host in Alumni Commons and I work in our Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) building in the Farm Fresh Cafe.  


What is the best meal you've had on campus and where is your favorite place to eat? 

Burritos from Prentice! I get a plain wrap with half chicken half beef, rice, cheese, sour cream and salsa. My favorite place to eat is either Farm Fresh Cafe or Prentice, but it depends on my mood. Farm Fresh Cafe has the most fresh ingredients and good sandwiches, but Prentice has a really wide variety. 


Why do you like living on campus? 

It's easier to get to class. You get to be more social and meet more people. 


What is your floor like and what types of amenities does your building offer? 

I live in Alumni Commons and I like that I get to make my own food because every suite has its own kitchen. We don't have to share a bathroom with an entire floor and the rules are a little different so we get to stay for breaks. And we have air conditioning! 


Why do you like your RA? 

He's really chill and easy to talk to! 


Anything else you'd like to tell people about SUNY Cobleskill? 

It's cheaper to live on campus when you think about everything you would have to buy to live in an apartment off campus. You get to meet a lot of new people here that you would never have met otherwise!
