Junior participants (ages 8 – 21) will learn judging techniques and reason delivery for show cattle, swine, meat goats and sheep (market and breeding) from some of the region’s most talented livestock professionals on Saturday, April 27. Juniors will also be able to actively participate in sheep and beef fitting demonstrations on that day, which will end with a multi-species judging competition (with prizes for winners!). Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided for juniors as part of their registration fee and each junior will receive a 2013 Livestock Clinic t-shirt, notebook, tote bag and fitting demo video. Parents and other adult attendees will be able to join junior participants in the weekend’s events and will only be charged for meal expenses ($9/adult).
Total registration costs are $35 each for the first FIVE juniors in each group (4-H, FFA, family or otherwise) and $25.00 for each additional junior. Registration cost includes all of the day’s events, breakfast, lunch, dinner, clinic t-shirt, tote bag, notebook and fitting demonstration video.
