Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources
The new Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) building will integrate the three major academic programs of Plant Sciences, Fisheries & Wildlife, and Animal Sciences within a single facility. The exposure of the academic collections and processes create a synergy between the separate departments, as well as engage the local community. The new facility will not only allow for an improved academic environment, but also reduce maintenance costs and energy costs due to the consolidation of program, improved building enclosure and more efficient building systems.
Update: Classes began in the new state-of-the-art Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources on August 25, 2014. Students and faculty in the Animal & Plant Science Department and Fisheries, Wildlife and Environmental Science Department programs are thriving in their new facility.
