Beginners/Novice - Never been on a horse before but always wanted to learn to ride? Whether a child or an adult, 5 or 65 or any where in between, under the careful guidance of our gifted, caring and patient staff of instructors you will learn the basics of horsemanship, including tacking up, riding, grooming and stable management. Then you can progress to more advanced riding and equestrianism classes.
Most riders are able to master the basics of riding in six to eight months. Once you have mastered the basics, the Center offers a whole range of advanced lessons to further develop your skills including hunt seat, dressage, show jumping, or western riding.
Experienced riders - the Center's instructors will help you advance your skills for pleasure or prepare you for competing in shows and intercollegiate competition.
Those with competitive experience - our instructors will help you perfect your skills, taking your riding performance to a new level.
SUNY Cobleskill Students have the option to earn college credit while taking lessons at all levels. See the Center's director or your advisor for details.
