Loan Periods

FINES FOR OVERDUE MATERIALS
- All books and audio-visual materials - $1.00 per day
- Equipment - fines vary, inquire at the circulation desk. Notebook computers carry a late fine of $25.00 per day.
DAMAGED OR LOST MATERIAL
Students are asked to pay the replacement cost of material lost or damaged.
Unpaid library obligations will be billed to the students' college account and may be deducted from any refund due. Unpaid library obligations may also be turned over to a collection agency and/or the NYS Attorney General's Office, where additional collection costs will be included.

HOLDS AND RECALLS
Holds may be placed on items that have been checked out. Once the item is returned, it will be put aside for the patron and the patron notified. Items are held for only seven days after notification.
Note: Holds will not be placed on Notebook computers
FACULTY

HOLDS AND RECALLS
Holds may be placed on items that have been checked out. Once the item is returned, it will be put aside for the faculty member and the faculty member notified. Items are held for only seven days after notification. Faculty loans for more than 14 days are subject to recall.
OVERDUE MATERIALS
Faculty are periodically, and at the end of each semester, notified of overdue material. Although faculty are not subject to overdue fines, faculty are urged to return material so other patrons can use them.

COMMUNITY BORROWERS

- Equipment does not circulate to community borrowers
FINES FOR OVERDUE MATERIALS

DAMAGED OR LOST MATERIAL
- Community borrowers are asked to pay the replacement cost of material lost or damaged.
EQUIPMENT
- A variety of equipment is available for check-out from the Circulation Desk including laptop computers, 35mm cameras and camcorders. Equipment is to be used for educational purposes only.
- A COBY card is required for checking out all equipment.
- Some equipment is restricted to faculty use only. Others may require a signed permission slip from the faculty member prior to use. These slips are available at the Circulation Desk.
The loan period varies on the equipment; most circulates from 24 hours to 3 days. Late return of all equipment carries a fine. - The amount of fine may vary depending on the type of equipment borrowed, it's important to ask at the Circulation Desk about both the loan period and the late fines.
- Some equipment requires instruction prior to use. Usually the faculty member involved will give the instruction.
- The "borrower" is responsible for returning all equipment on time and in good condition. Any damage, including lost or stolen, is the responsibility of the borrower.
