Local College Students Make Who’s Who

Seven local residents were among the 38 SUNY Cobleskill students chosen for listing in the 2007-08 editions of Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges and Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges. Students chosen for listing in Who’s Who are honored for their academic achievement, service to the college community, student leadership, citizenship and involvement in extracurricular activities.

Cory Allen of Cobleskill, Kelly Macan of Cobleskill and Reem Alaliewie of Carlisle were named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges.  Nichole Vogt of Cobleskill, William Hamilton of Cobleskill, Alicia Marie Kloczko of Schoharie and Peter Nichols of Cobleskill were named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.

Members of the campus faculty and staff nominated students for this prestigious national honor. The students join an elite group from more than 2,300 institutions of higher education in all 50 states and several foreign nations.

In addition to the local students, other SUNY Cobleskill students named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges Students include: Gavin Bowlin of Schenectady; Ashley Blain of Bradenton, Fla.; David Porter of Newburgh; Mallory Mackey of Tully; Laura Nix of Waltham, Mass.; Thomas Verhagen of Rochester; Andrew Decker of Spencerport; Megan  Holstead of Laurens; Kiera Vallone of Uniondale; Valerie Brock of Middletown; Christine LaGrotta of Thornwood; Betsy Jensen of Penn Yan; Laura Scheper of Greenville; and Carney Harper of Milford.

A total of 19 SUNY Cobleskill students were named for listing in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges Students.  In addition to the local students, they are: David Coburn of Buckland, Mass.; Bethany Kralovic of Ballston Lake; Karinna Kelly of Dover Plains; Katrina Lampkin of Amsterdam; Benjamin Fox of Hobart; Gerald   Villarreal of Lawrence; Jobe Walker of Jamaica; Christopher Powers of Rye; Hanna Zetterstrand-Robinson of Stanfordville; Rebecca Myerson of South Walpole; Billy Rodriguez of New York City; Kenneth Holderied of Bridgewater, NJ; Amanda Czesak of Chaffee; and Laura Nye of North Babylon.
