Agricultural Engineering Overview

The Agricultural Engineering program prepares students for the industry, providing them with the knowledge in these highly technical areas. Students learn on state-of-the-art equipment provided by John Deere, New Holland and other agricultural equipment companies. The Agricultural Equipment Technology associate program trains students in marketing and servicing industrial and construction equipment. Students can choose from three tracks: Agricultural Power Machinery, John Deere Agricultural Technology or Power Machinery Technology. In the Diesel Technology associate program students develop the skills necessary for careers in today’s power market, which is almost exclusively diesel-fueled. In that program students can specialize in John Deere Construction and Forestry Equipment. The Agricultural Equipment Technology bachelor’s program focuses on diagnostics of electrical and hydraulic systems, management skills and communication skill development. As part of the program students are prepared to complete internships in agricultural and industrial businesses.
