April 23rd and 24th, 2021

SUNY Cobleskill's Office of Student Leadership and Residential Life Social Justice Committee is excited to host its inaugural Women’s Leadership Conference on Friday, 4/23, and Saturday, 4/24! The conference will be completely virtual on Zoom. We are excited to create an opportunity for students who identify as women, cis or trans, non-binary, and individuals who feel comfortable in spaces that center the experiences of women to learn, grow, and take ownership over the unique spaces that they occupy.

We live in an age where we are still seeing many firsts for women, as well as the instrumentality of women during the COVID-19 pandemic - the majority of essential workers in health care and government and community-based services are women. It's been amazing to witness within the past two years alone the accomplishments of women, particularly women from marginalized groups, including:

Change is happening rapidly, but there is still much work to be done both in the United States and around the world. We are thankful to the women who have paved the way for us on all levels of society, and we are excited to help pave the way for future generations of women. We look forward to equipping our attendees with tools to create change on their campuses and become who they want to be.
