The Business Affairs Office provides complete accounting and reporting services for the SUNY Cobleskill Foundation, Alumni Association, and Alumni Commons. Staff accountants provide procedures and support to ensure proper accounting entry in accordance with GAAP for all revenue sources, including cash and non-cash gifts, fundraising proceeds, membership dues and activity fees. Staff accountants also process disbursement requests, including scholarship payments, and reconcile all monthly bank statements.
The accounting staff works with professional investment managers and consultants to make certain financial assets are prudently invested in accordance with investment guidelines established by the respective investment committees of the Boards of Directors for each entity.
